Namaste dear yogis,
I’m really excited to tell you that from 4th March our 6:30 Monday classes at my Pentire Avenue studio are to be replaced by a brand-new style class that I have been planning and designing for a while now.
I call this Meeta’s Candlelight iYINgar and I hope that you will come along and see how good it makes you feel.
This practice will be lit entirely by candlelight – helping us to balance our emotions, still our minds and open the deep connective tissues of our bodies using a carefully planned progression of asanas.
A combination of Iyengar and Yin, this class it is a deep, meditative and often profound practice. It involves surrendering into postures and exploring them for longer periods of time in order to let go of tensions stored in the body and to calm the nervous system. I will be using various props (belts, blocks, bolsters) to help students with different degrees of flexibility and awareness understand and experience the asanas more completely. Meeta’s Candlelight iYINgar yoga is meditation in action. Students will learn to move with a deep awareness of their body, breath and mind producing high levels of awareness that will integrate and harmonise mind and body. Did you ever think that you could look forward to Mondays?
We will begin the class promptly at 6:45 and will finish very shortly after 8:00. You are very welcome to arrive up to 30 minutes early to change, make yourself comfortable and perhaps do a little self practice – even if I’m not there, the room will be open and warm. Sorry – but late arrivals will not be allowed. Also, for this class I am going to set the maximum number of yogis to 15. If you would like to take one of the 11 remaining spaces for the first session on 4th March, then please contact me soon by email or text.
Cost for this hour+ class is only £10
Meeta’s Park Place Yoga Retreat Weekend
Friday 26 to Sunday 28 April 2019
I’m sure you have all seen my previous messages about this return to my favourite retreat venue.
Places still available so if you have been debating with yourself on whether or not you have the time to spare or the inclination to push your own boundaries – now is the time to make the decision and call me!
I will be teaching approximately 12 hours of yoga giving you the opportunity to participate in as much or little as you wish. Yes, we work hard on the mat (that IS my style, after all! winks) – but our retreats always have a wonderful social atmosphere with a great balance of Yoga (first and foremost) laughs, great food, walks in the fresh air, visits to the local coffee shops of Wickham, social games and bottles of wine in the evenings with no shortage of snackettes and of course – Meeta’s famous carrot cake!
Prices are maintained for another year at £375 single room.
To secure your booking a non-refundable deposit of £100 is required to be paid by the 29th March, with the full balance by 6 April.
Full details are on my retreat web page but do please contact me if you have any questions.
