I would like to express how lucky I feel, to of been able to attend the spring 2012 yoga retreat, at The Old Dairy, West Tytherly.
Previous to the avent i was quietly nervous, that i might be slightly out of my depth as i’ve only been practicing yoga for less than a year and still consider myself very much a novice.
I need not of worried, upon arrival we were greeted with warm smiles and excited talk of just what the weekend held for us all. I instantly felt at ease realising i was amongst kindred spirits.
By the time all nine yogi’s were assembled and in position ready to begin our first practice, I observed that we were nine quite different individuals of varying ages and cultures. All brought together by our love of yoga and Meetas teaching. Then we all took our place at the long table, eagerly waiting for our first sample of Meetas lovingly prepared ‘feasts,’the spread that was presented to us was easily equal to any professional catering or restaurant. The mix of aromas and flavors were complemented by the vibrant colours and variety.
This was to set the standard for the whole weekend, which made for a very enjoyable break from the grind and pressures of life. we were able to immerse ourselves in the peace and tranquillity of the retreat and its rural surroundings on our regular walks along the footpaths and tracks, giving us more oppertunity to get to know one another.
Meeta was the perfect host, making sure everybody was comfortable, happy and well fed.
On top of this she also provided us with the usual superb yoga classes, including different breathing and
meditation techniques.
I have a theory that Meeta is probably super human, with the amount she done for us all, over the course of the weekend.
Although i suspect that true to her motto, she was ‘making the impossible, possible’!
I hope that i am able to attend the next yoga retreat organised by Meeta. As i know it’ll be another life affirming experience!
Thank you so much. – Jesse.
